8 Days and Counting~The Polls: Markey (D) Mass Senate race- Leading!

A new Boston Globe poll of the U.S. Senate race finds Democratic U.S. Rep. Edward Markey leading Republican private equity investor Gabriel Gomez by double digits.

The poll put Markey ahead of Gomez, 54 percent to 41 percent among likely voters, with only 4 percent undecided.
(Counting those who are undecided but leaning toward a candidate, Gomez would get support from 43 percent.)

That is a larger margin than two independent polls released last week, which both put Markey up by 7 points.

Go Massachusetts!

Caught one of his ads....had to run from the room with my hands over my ears, singing LALALALALA! The noise of his voice and the utter stupidity that he blathers hurts my head.

Navy Squeal! Indeed!

"Received two fundraising e-mails from two Senators I admire who are supporting Congressman Ed Markey's (D. MA) U.S. Senate bid. The first one comes from Senator Tom Harkin (D. IA):"

Ed's opponent, Gabriel Gomez, has vocally supported the chained CPI and believes we need to slash taxes even further for wealthy investment executives like him. And just like Scott Brown before him, he will be just one more reliable, conservative vote ready to grind the people's business to a halt.

In 2010, outside groups poured money into helping Scott Brown pull off an upset victory in Massachusetts as part of their strategy to derail health care reform. Now, again, outside groups have cut Rep. Markey's lead by 10 points, hoping to use this election as a springboard to slash Social Security and pursue other radical conservative priorities.

That's totally an identifiable way to differentiate between the two candidates, she..

Rep. Markey firmly opposes the chained CPI, and will stand with me to fight Social Security cuts that only serve to weaken the middle class. He is the kind of proven progressive we need more of in the Senate, and I hope you'll join me in supporting his campaign today.
