2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumOscar de la Renta and Hillary Clinton to Party With Henry Kissinger After the CFDAs Tonight
Sounds like it was quite a bash for Pinochet's pal last night and when Hillary behaves like this, it makes Ralph Nader's old "no dime's worth of difference in the two parties" line suddenly seem a lot more applicable for 2016.
I don't care if the fucker's turning 150, there's no excuse for honoring this murderous turd of a war criminal.
There's nothing the fashion world loves more than to be taken seriously, so when major dignitaries like Hillary Clinton attend industry events like tonight's CFDA Awards, folks get pumped not that they'd actually deign to show it, of course. Clinton will be there to present the Founders Award to her old friend Oscar de la Renta, who has outfitted her many times over the past several decades. But don't expect her to schmooze and pick at the cucumber hors d'oeuvres after the ceremony; fashion people aren't that important! According to WWD, both she and Oscar will skedaddle off to Henry Kissinger's 90th birthday before the awards show is even over. How very Anderson Cooper of them, double-booking their Monday evening.

(13,114 posts)I can not believe the majority of people on this site want that women to be president in 2016.
She is a war monger of the first degree.
She is two faced on so many issues it is hard to keep track.
She loves protesters around the globe, but hated the OWS protesters in the U.S.
She is not a Democratic or Progressive politician.
She is more of the same.
She a representative for the rich, corporations, free trade deals and the MIC goal of empire building.

(24,135 posts)it is. War criminal, sure why not? Koch Brothers - must be nice to them, especially in NYC because of the money they donate to the arts. It's all so nauseating.
They suck up to each other for various reasons, mostly because they want something.

The current picture, she looks more rested. I don't think Mrs. Clinton wants to run for President but I hope she keeps everyone, especially the republican paid media campaigns focused for years to come. Would really love it if the Ds 'pull a republican' and have about 60 people claim they want to be president

(30,254 posts)So, I guess she technically didn't bring him since they were both invited. Bill was there too.
I usually don't get upset about these types of events. The elites always show up at each other's milestones. Just like at the opening of the Bush library. I'm sure that not every former president was thrilled to have to be there, but that's what was expected of them.
As for Hillary, she does look well rested. That's what a full night of sleep and less stress can do for you.

It's not the posters fault. It's what they fished out to go with the article because they were lazy that the Pix is from many years ago of Hillary and Kissinger.
The article is current, though.

(30,254 posts)At least he could respond and tell us why he singled out Hillary out of all the other Democrats who were also in attendance.
Aside from the fact that he posted a similar thread on the General Discussion forum.
