Remember: Standing up to the gun lobby was a real difference between Hillary and Sanders.

Sanders voted not once but five times against the Brady Bill.

Sanders voted to make it harder to crack down on dealers who break the law.

Sanders supported an amendment to create the so-called "Charleston Loophole," which allowed the Charleston shooter to get a gun before his background check was completed.

Sanders voted to overrule a ban on guns on Amtrak trains.

Sanders voted twice for what the head of the NRA called the most significant piece of pro-gun legislation in the last 20 years: giving gun manufacturers sweeping immunity for their actions.

The bill Sanders supported has made it harder for families across the country who have lost their loved ones to gun violence to bring lawsuits against irresponsible gun manufacturers and dealers.

And Sanders has continued to defend his vote, refusing to support legislation to take away immunity for gun-makers:

In June, his campaign manager said: “I believe he would make the same vote.”

In July, Sanders said: “I don’t apologize for that vote.”

And as recently as last year, Sanders continued to defend it, saying: “If a small gun shop owner in the state of Vermont sells a product, a gun, legally to somebody else who then goes out and does something crazy, do I think that small gun shop owner should be held liable for legally selling the product? No, I don’t.”

Do they really care about democracy, and the Democratic party's agenda? Seems not, to me.
