20, 30, or 40 years from now, no one will ever believe the movie

that was made about the 2016 US presidential election could ever have been based upon events that really happened....unless they were old enough to have lived through the nightmare themselves.

Decades from now, anyone watching such a movie will find it very hard to believe that someone as disgusting, corrupt, and insulting as Donald Trump could possibly have been elected president, let alone the nominee of any major party. Anyone watching the movie will not believe that someone could get elected president by insulting people like Trump did and by telling such blatant lies as he did hundreds and hundreds of times.

The younger viewers will sit back in the theaters and think it's all just a big Hollywood exaggeration because, in their minds, surely no one could ever be elected president if they acted like this character "Donald Trump," who is being accurately portrayed by a Hollywood actor in the movie.

Let's all just hope beyond hope that this same movie has a happy ending....as in....Trump ends up being tried and convicted of treason, the election results are overturned, and Trump spends the rest of his miserable days in a cold damp cell tweeting to birds that fly past his little window.

40 years from now, people may gaze in awe at how unusual the 2012 election was, based on their world experience.

Play it straight with his words taken from public statements, use well known actors for shock value. Given the short term memory of the American public punctuate the Russian death and destruction in Syria. Reprise the role of Tillerson from John Goodman with actual footage from Syria. We are living through another holocaust and few believe it, life now is stranger than fiction.

Just the same, only those of us who are living through it now would ever believe something like this could possibly be true, and that's only because it's happening before our very eyes. 20 or 30 years from now, anyone watching it will surely wonder if it could actually be true or not....unless they were old enough to have lived through it.

were really devoid of any kind of moral decency and were basically a bunch of ignorance-loving dumbfuck authoritarians, and that this had been the case since the country was founded.

They are the ones who contrived the fake email scandal.

I can just hear the audience laughing as the actors passionately proclaim: "she lied about her emails!"

no one will be allowed to make that movie.

20 years from now, the oligarchs will be vetting all movies. How many movies do Russians get to see about the rise of putin and his murders?
