What Obama does in the coming days will be huge.

Either direction he takes.

I am of the opinion that Obama needs to be pushing(most likely is) our intelligence agencies to hastily get him all info on Trump. Every single bit that can be declassified or is already holding that status must be released before Obama leaves office. Once Obama is gone, everything not released will remain sealed and the door is open for not only Russia to blackmail the President, but the intelligence agencies as well.

I don't envy Obamas position. I haven't for the last eight years. If the intelligence community is holding even more, it's either released before Obama leaves office or stays hidden and will be used as a tool to blackmail Trump. The importance of this monumental.

Also, a truly great President.

"so am trusting he is getting all the ducks in a row."

The office itself has shown some great men to make poor decisions in the name of stability.

At least not legally (not that "legally" would stop a well and truly determined CIA or NSA). Not even the IRS itself could publicize the returns, though if he has committed tax fraud they can certainly launch an investigation.
