Up until a few months ago I would have said "No, it would never happen". That even the people who voted for him would be against it given that elections are one of the fundamental freedoms that even his base hold sacred...

However after watching one of trumps rallies prior to the election where trump was spitballing at the podium saying "why are we even having an election, just make me president, why even have it" and hearing the crowd cheer the idea the possibility of the elections being abolished suddenly became very real.

Other countries will continue to attempt to "hack" our elections moving forward. They have in the past and will continue to do so moving forward. Why wouldn't they? It's not like we are or should be above the same tactics.

Even with all of the messed up stuff we were extremely close to winning. We must win two years years. Fair elections must be our priority. I'm not done fighting. Not even close. Next set of elections are right around the corner. Many of us are already working on them. Literally.

I'm not sure why you think Trump is going to carry the day. Even with the help of his buddies. One of my biggest concerns is that he isn't tied as tightly to the Republican Party as I want. I held out that it wasn't that bad.. I was seriously disappointed when I read they hacked state and local level electoral boards in some states ... that means they got access to data... the level of effect from that access is irrelevant ...

It means they can get into state level data... most likely red state level data but that's just my opinon.

The elections are not free and fair if the votes cannot be accurately recounted in a transparent manner. Trump can or cannot be the actual president since the vote cannot be accurately recounted. The Russians did do something with the US election computers but the US will not pursue the matter.
