NATO - gone
Outsourcing - jobs gone
Government funding of scientific research - gone
Global climate change - fuck it
Israel - right or wrong
$15 minimum wage - yeah, right
Wall Street - in charge
Intelligence - we're fine with the FSB and Mossad, thanks

Not white? - look out
Muslim? - look out even harder
Low income housing? - Hah!

You get the idea. Unless and until Dems are back in the majority and in the white house, we will lose on just about all of these issues, since there are few republicans with a spine or a moral conscience, notwithstanding lip service from McCain and Graham. We - the Democrats - must - must, must, must - vote against every single republican bill. Vote against every nominee for any office. Every. Single. One. No compromise. If republicans choose to vote with the Dems, fine. Doesn't matter. It won't make a difference. Except that when America no longer resembles what it once was, when the folks in flyover country wonder why they are still on the losing end, there will be no question who's responsible. When the coal mining jobs don't return, the former coal miners will know who's responsible. When there's an Ebola outbreak in the US and the resources don't exist to respond to it, they'll know who's responsible. When the mortality rates go up, when infant mortality rates rise, when there are outbreaks of whooping cough and measles and mumps, they'll know who's responsible. When farmers can no longer depend on migrant labor and their produce dies on the vine, well, they'll know why. When individuals and families continue to struggle on a minimum wage of $7.25/hour, they'll know who's responsible. When the 4.3 million retail workers are still reeling from split shifts, on-call, and poor wages, they'll know who's responsible and who doesn't really give a fucking damn about them.

Etc.,. etc.
