In 2012, McCrory won a very convincing victory in the governor's race including getting 25% of Democratic votes. By June he was underwater in approval and never rose above that. Moral Monday made that happen. A series of protests that demanded and got media coverage for all the right wing policies that McCrory either acceded to or promoted as governor. We also won a seat on the Supreme Court in very convincing fashion while losing both the President and Senate race.
