Here in the UK the Brexit vote was as close to 100% legit as you can get, simple paper ballots and a massive counting scheme that engendered near complete confidence in the result (regardless of the disastrous outcome).

BUT

How can we EVER know if they actually did tamper with the actual votes cast in the USA?

1. You can do a statistcally significant audit or a full hand count.

Other than that, we really don't 'know' if any election outcome is correct, let alone an accurate tally.
