https://www.yahoo.com/news/pollster-frank-luntz-the-trump-campaign-is-an-absolute-joke-200157345.htmlConservative pollster Frank Luntz sat down with Yahoo Global News Anchor Katie Couric Wednesday and explained why he thinks Donald Trumps presidential bid is the worst campaign that I have ever seen in my professional life.
Perhaps best known as the wordsmith behind many Republican talking points, Luntz had quite a few zingers about Trump, including one about the GOP nominees sometimes stilted delivery of prepared speeches.
Stevie Wonder reads a teleprompter better than Donald Trump, he jested.
He also suggested that Trumps campaign should do whatever it takes to keep its candidate away from his hyper-aggressive Twitter account. Break his fingers, take the iPhone away, he joked.
I've never had any faith in Luntz. He's a GOPer through and through. But it's kind of fun seeing them starting to go after each other.
I can handle two more weeks of that or Kelly taking down Gingrich, etc

(81,241 posts)I remember where I was, too. Driving up into the Sepulveda Pass, listening to all-news radio and a report about Frank Luntz's grim pronouncements about the GOP's chances in the upcoming general election. We had Barack Obama and Luntz & Co had John McCain. Luntz talked about the runaway Obama train and ruefully said "I don't know how to beat this guy."
That asshole had made me grind my teeth in disgust FAR too many times. But, finally, he was making me smile, smile, smile. From then, until this very moment while I write this post about it. What a moment! SO damn satisfying!

(11,800 posts)Man, this inter cine warfare is going to go on long after the election. First will be the finger pointing and all-inclusive blamefest. Then comes the battle for the party. Add the upcoming guess between the Brierbart/Alex Jones media versus the FOX news/Albert Brooks/Redstate media. Then add the feud that's splitting the evangelical movement, you got at least a few months of schadenfreudelicious entertainment.

(54,372 posts)It was in late December 2000, and it was in a candid, and completely off the record setting. I guess I can say this now, 16 years later. He admitted outright that if all had been fairly handled, that Al Gore was probably the legitimate winner of the 2000 election. Not that he was in the least interested in getting the SCOTUS decision reversed, but he did admit that the loser of the 2000 election was about to take office.
He knows the score more often than he admits, but his job and his money depend on fooling people, so he's not going to admit the obvious unless it's obvious to everyone else, too.
