"Undecided" Voters: WTF?

Apparently there are still some "undecided" voters out there.

Leaving aside the miniscule number of individuals of voting age who've been in some form of coma since, oh, say, sometime around June and JUST awakened in the last couple of days and need a little time to catch up, I have to ask you:

WHAT. THE. FUCK???

You're "undecided"?

The very kindest assumptions I can make are a) You're not really undecided, you're just saying that because you want to get some attention from campaign workers, the media, whatever; b) You're not really undecided, but you can't possibly admit to family or friends who it is you plan on voting for, so you pretend you can't make up your mind; or c) You suffer from some grave physiological and/or intellectual challenge that has prevented you from doing your duty as a voter to inform yourself about your choices (also, you're not connected to the Internet, have no television, and no access to print media).

Seriously, those are the only marginally-kind excuses I can think of for your "undecided" state.

This is probably the wrong forum to be asking for enlightenment from undecided voters, but if anyone on DU has "undecided" voter friends/family, maybe you can do a little research and get back to me on these queries, because I seriously want to know.

What single piece of information or revelation do you need, in addition to everything that has been copiously provided already from Trump himself, his surrogates/proxies, media coverage, experienced analysts, the endorsements of those who pay close attention to how the Chief Executive functions and fits into the government of our democratic republic, to convince you that Donald J. Trump is manifestly unfit to serve as Chief Executive? More than that, that his election would constitute a positive danger to the security and economic stability of our nation?

Well?

WHAT?

What piece of information would do that? Please, tell me.

What ONE THING, that, if you learned it from a reasonably credible source, would make you say, "OMG, NO, that's too much, I can't POSSIBLY vote for this person?"

I'd really like to know.

What motivates someone to be "undecided" in the face of a contest between a candidate with decades of experience in both the Executive and Legislative branches of government, demonstrable competence, and a character and temperament of intelligence, moderation, and attentiveness to the well-being of the least-advantaged in our society; and a candidate with decades of experience in self-promotion, financial chicanery, cheating employees and contractors, assaulting women, and a character and temperament of willful ignorance, self-aggrandizement, and rabid, paranoid xenophobia against everyone but people like himself?

How can you NOT be "decided" by now?

What are you waiting for?

Please, share. This is important.

bewilderedly,
Bright

And some pay attention the last week or so, and some are undecided because trump is too much for conservatives and Christians to accept.

He is leaning towards Cheeto because " he will prevent a war with Russia". My hubby pointed out to him then Cheeto could start a war with China, Mexico or the Middle East and he'd have no problem with that. He was left speechless at that comment.

3. The people I know who are "undecided" are trying to rationalize not voting repub for the first time

in their lives (are in their 80's). They are faced with supporting the unsupportable, or going across party lines and neither makes them happy in any way. They've proudly voted straight party ticket, repub, for the last 60 yrs and are having to face the monster that has been created.

Seems every election I have the same reaction as the OP: Undecided? WTF?? 8 years ago I couldn't imagine anyone having to make up their minds between Sarah one-step-away Palin and Obama. You've either drank the cool aid or you haven't. This year earns a double WTF. But I can see your reasoning. You almost feel sorry for them.

I'm old (not that old, but old) and have been a straight-ticket voter most of my life, too, except in the Dem column.

However, when I moved to a Congressional District that was represented by a GOPpie who was a former school science teacher, an environmentalist, a conscientious and moderate leader who spent plenty of time interacting with his constituents, and the Dem candidate running against him was a DINO, fundy-wackjob shill for corrupt local pols, I crossed the line, and turned in a ballot that was almost all Dem with one exception- that Congresscritter.

This is not rocket science. This is the future of our grandchildren.

seriously,
Bright

6. It doesn't matter. If they're undecided they may just be looking for a "winner."

Give that to them by encouraging them to for for democrats! Problem solved. They'll feel good about being decided and you'll feel good about getting another voter to the polls.

They are familiar with the media's "undecided" obsession and play it for their own benefit. Ken Bone is probably making a lot more money now than he was before that 2nd debate, guarantee it.

Most of them probably don't bother to vote, but some who are genuinely undecided and haven't given it much thought might vote because of all the buzz they hear from other people.

Yeah, I made up my mind about president, senator, congress, state senator and state assembly, but I still have to plow through all those amendments on the ballot - not to mention the sixteen people running for four city council seats. But the first page* is a no-brainer.

If you haven't made up your mind wrt president by now, IMHO you're either clueless or an attention hound.

*My ballot is only 5 pages long this time: San Francisco has a slew of items of its own in addition.

16. The Undecideds are likely ones that watch the debates to decide

But since Trump has hijacked the debates and turned them into a goddamned sideshow...the people wanting to hear about the issues still don't know enough about policies, positions and plans. Hillary needs to try very hard to discuss the issues at this last debate. If he tries to attack her she needs to just say, "You're entitled to your opinion. I disagree." And then just tell her plans and talk issues. And if she reminds people that in order to get things done in Washington you NEED to be able to work with people and remain calm and cool even when people disagree with you. Trump and the media is sinking his ship without Hillary participating. Now she just needs to talk about what she plans on doing.
