The incredibly invisibility of WOC over 30 & also why I wish Trump wasn’t imploding

There are several reasons that this election has been incredibly frustrating as a woman of color over 30. I was listening to the 538 podcast where one of the hosts (Harry Enten, maybe?) asked why we don’t hear as much about HRC supporters. Here is the simple answer, women of color over 30 don’t matter and maybe all older women don’t matter, and we have been her most enthusiastic supporters. So this entire election has been about Trump voters and Bernie voters, even though Hillary has way more voters. This was already frustrating and is about to be more frustrating as Trump implodes.

You would think a hard core supporter like me, would love this Trump implosion but I am actually really upset about it. Apparently, so is the Brooklyn team if NPR is right. One, his most recent comments about women are disgusting, and generally brings down the whole national conversation. It compels the people who are voting for him to support these comments, and try to normalize this behavior. It reinforces the incredibly misogyny in society. And mostly, I hate it because it will allow the media and the pundits to discount us again. I can almost see the narrative that Hillary didn’t win, her voters don’t really like her, they are not enthusiastic about her, they only voted for her because Trump is a disaster. This will be the narrative post-November.
I think Hillary could have defeated any one of those GOP assholes running for president. It sucks that she got such a shitty opponent. It sucks because it gives a whole narrative to the media that continues to discount female leaders.

Hillary Clinton, is the most qualified person to run for this office and her historic victory will not be about her. It will not be about her supporters. It will be about a man, a disgusting gross man and his deplorable supporters. And this is just incredibly frustrating.

I'm not sure Hillary could have beaten all of the other candidates. Milky Way Kasich might have appeared normal enough to slide into office simply because she's a woman and has had an unjust smear campaign going against her for over 14 years now. She has had the odds stacked against her so high, that's it taken a man as depraved as Trump to minimize those odds. Hillary is utterly qualified to be president and I will be proud to vote her into office, but let's not forget that the racism and misogyny in this country was there before Trump and his rabid followers brought it to the surface as viciously as they have.

So, in some ways, and please understand me when I say this, I'm grateful that the walking example of utter madness and depravity is her opponent. She is going to shine tonight during the debate and, I believe, during her presidency.

Trump, on the other hand, may become the new Rush Limbaugh. I give it less than a year for him to be seen as the biggest has-been joker there is, that or he's going to end up in prison. Either way, his brand is destroyed and he likely really is suffering from some type of paranoia. Things are not going to go well for him.

With all of this said, I'll admit though that I cannot wait for this filthy election to be over. I'm going to have to shower my brain with bleach to get back to normal again.

against the Kasich/Cruz/Rubio/Walker polished extremist versions of Trump. But IMHO I think she could have taken care of any one of them. Exposed them for what they are, and put forth the same inspiring and convincing vision she's talking about in this campaign

That being said, I agree I can't wait for this election to be over! I am actually terrified to watch the debate because Trump is going to be so vile, ugly, and degrading. Because of him everything is so sordid.
