1st time since 1965 Voting Rights Act not in effect

and that is damn scary. Living in WI we have it bad. Disenfranchised 300thousand of our DEM voters. I am a deputy. I registered voters in 2014 and again this year. And the Rs in my state are going to obsolete us (deputies) soon. Many will fall thru the cracks. Please do all you can to get folks registered, Voter IDs and to the polls.

This is an opportunity for Clinton. She could propose a New Voting Rights Act in her speeches. . nt Bernardo de La Paz Sep 2016 #1

You could ask her about it in a post to one or the other. I think I read somewhere on her sight that they love and read all suggestions. Sorry I don't have more info.

But ideas (including my own) are cheap. I'd be happy for many people to propose it in many venues.

So we're good, right? The most disappointing thing with Roberts is this decision was exactly the opposite of what he attested to in his confirmation hearings. He went against precedent. Completely disregarded what the prior courts had held in multiple previous cases over decades. The decision also took the reins from congress which had passed the law. Remember his "baseball analogy" from his hearings? He said he'd be a referee, not a player.
