(13,340 posts)Honestly, no. Trump isn't that sophisticated, and neither are his supporters.
And she was right. No tears shed for that murder Ghadaffi.

(13,340 posts)He'll call it "bad judgement" and say, "look what a mess it is!"
He won't make any argument more sophisticated that that. His supporters would go glassy-eyed.
Thoug I think he will try to ironically use the word "deplorable."
But I was amused that even on Morning Joke, they were essentially saying this morning that she was not wrong, but that it was inpolitic to say that.

(13,257 posts)I'm not sure cbs would want that looked at too closely. They performed some interesting video editing to create that lie.
If "news" headlines were honest. cbs "news:" "We came, we saw, we lied."
A snippet:
If the news reported as honestly, frequently, and energetically about republicans as they report dishonestly, frequently, and energetically about Democrats, the republican party would be gone within 5 years.
During a series of interviews in Kabul, Afghanistan on October20, 2011, Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton received a text about another, unconfirmed report of gaddafi's capture.
The rest at the link.
Quick summary, during the interviews, Secretary Clinton joked about the form those "unconfirmed reports of gaddafi's capture" frequently came in, "we came, we saw, he died," in the "land of unconfirmed reports," Libya, during those days of the Arab Spring in Libya.

(25,406 posts)Second, "I'm not going to apologize for the deaths of Osama Bin Laden or Colonel Gaddafi" would probably end that line of attack.

(15,472 posts)Piece of shit that he was, it was a flippant remark of disparagement, Hence a Casuistry which is why some might worry, not even going to the lack of plan for the " day after " for Lybia and Syria .

(25,406 posts)May I suggest that if you want to use made-up quotes to attack Hillary Clinton two months before the election, DU may not be the appropriate website to do that?
