(1,937 posts)1. A conservative medical group has concerns?
Why isn't that surprising. I guess Rand Paul as one of the members is concerned.
A group that thinks hiv doesn't cause aids, that being gay automatically decreases life expectancy, abortion causes cancer, vaccines cause autism.

The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is a politically conservative non-profit association founded in 1943 to "fight socialized medicine and to fight the government takeover of medicine."

He was a doctor who liked to diagnose people he'd never actually examined as well.

Bolding mine. About all I need to know about this organization.
The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS) is a politically conservative non-profit association founded in 1943 to "fight socialized medicine and to fight the government takeover of medicine."[3][4] The group was reported to have approximately 4,000 members in 2005, and 5,000 in 2014.[5][6][7] Notable members include Ron Paul and John Cooksey.[8] Ron Paul's son, Rand Paul, was a member for over two decades until his election to the U.S. Senate.[9] The executive director is Jane Orient, an internist and a member of the Oregon Institute of Science and Medicine.[1] The AAPS motto, "omnia pro aegroto" is Latin for "all for the patient."[10] AAPS also publishes the Journal of American Physicians and Surgeons (formerly known as the Medical Sentinel).
The association is generally recognized as politically conservative or ultra-conservative, and its publication advocates a range of scientifically discredited hypotheses, including the belief that HIV does not cause AIDS, that being gay reduces life expectancy, that there is a link between abortion and breast cancer, and that there are links between autism and vaccinations.

About Honest.Dem
I think it's important to understand both sides of an issue, even if I disagree with the other side. It does not help me or our cause to misrepresent the other sides point of view only to knock it down like a straw-man, and this is why I have the name, "Honest.Dem". Also, I recognize that some on the Right actually care about some of the same things we care about; they only have a different approach to achieving those things. Further, I do not follow blindly any party or person. I hold to principles and I am wiling to work with anyone to achieve results that are in our best interests. Effecting change in a country large as ours requires working with people of different views. This is only possible when both parties treat each other with dignity and respect. And respect allows for a vigorous exchange of ideas and the merits on which those ideas are based. I have no reservations about sharing and defending my principles - I am after all, "Honest.Dem", but I will not engage in character assassination of fellow human beings just because they happen to view things differently then I do.

I can not think of one thing Donald Trump wants for my country that I do, not one thing.
