Another A PLUS for CNN!

CNN’s Chris Cuomo Says Trump and His Campaign Have ‘Blacklisted’ His Show

Mediaite, Tommy Christopher

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump succeeds in his quest for the White House, news organizations may have to walk a fine line in order to retain access to the People’s House. On Friday morning’s edition of CNN’s New Day, anchor Chris Cuomo casually revealed that he and his show are just the latest news outlet to be “punished” by Trump for what he views as unfair coverage. In a discussion of how it is that Trump’s fans are able to look past his outrageous statements, Cuomo interjected this not-so-stunning fact:

One of the misconceptions is the media gives him a pass. That is not true. I’m blacklisted by Donald Trump and his whole campaign. They won’t come on because of how we conduct our interviews.

2. Without defending Donald Trump, I find Chris Cuomo quite off-putting

He seems to think "interviews" are an opportunity to have a Socratic take down of his guests. He's very argumentative, no matter how innocuous the topic, and he seems to think his job is to push back at everyone, even people who are experts in their field. This is totally aside from Donald Trump (who needs to get a thicker hide if he wants to be President), but CNN's anchors all do this and it's very strange.

"adversarial press."

After 20 years of Fox News-style, I find CNN refreshing!

9. It's not so much when he goes after politicians - I'm fine with that.

It's when he does this to people who are experts in their field, e.g., the people they pull in after plane crashes, natural disasters, etc.

with the network organization's absolute fixation on 'airplane crashes' and mass casualties a 'news guy' like Cuomo must get tired of the blah-blah-blah of the talking heads, if that is the case.

I've never seen him cross any line, but he can appear to get a little irritated!

I just chalk it up to "New Yowk" routes!

I have wildly different reactions to watching Cuomo, depending on who he's interviewing.

There were a few times he interviewed Trump that I was cheering him on, because he really held Trump's feet to the fire (unlike 85% of reporters).

But I've seen him do the same thing with people who didn't deserve that kind of interrogation, people who aren't politicians, people who are just attempting to tell their side of a story.

I have the same love/hate reaction to Chris Matthews...

On top of that, inexplicably, both of them also have moments where they go way too easy on Trump, too. So it's always a crap shoot.

3. Cuomo asserts that the media do not give him a pass since they've been "blacklisted". But that

doesn't change the fact that they DO give DumbTrump a pass and they show his stupid rallies and take all his pressers unchallenged. So why again would either DumbTrump or his campaign people agree to meet with reporters of any major cable or network station where they can be grilled (which is, I surmise, the reason they don't accept the invites) as opposed to having their rallies and "pressers" broadcast in full without any annoying, hard-hitting questions they know they can't answer anyway?

So yeah, maybe he and his campaign refuse to come on to CNN for personal interviews, but it doesn't change the fact that he still gets MORE coverage and less criticism than Hillary Clinton - by far.

It's like the media's false equivalency or 'both sides hate us so we must be doing something right'.

And CNN gave us trump cheerleaders Lewendowski and Jeffrey Lord.
