"In 1971, I met a girl . . ."

Reminded me of Julia Roberts' line in "Notting Hill":

"Don't forget I'm just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her"

I thought it was extraordinarily sweet.

So, MSNBC - stop with the hating, already.

Hillary is HIS girl. His job was to be personal and to humanize Hillary. He did a great job.

MSRNC's true colors are coming out now.

My grandfather called my grandmother "his girl" even after 60 years of marriage (the Clintons have been together for more than 40) - in his eyes, she was ALWAYS a girl.

The message being, if the love is still there after all these years and everything they have been through, Hillary must be a very special person.

I'm offended at the sexism.

Bill's track record on women in the White House is awful.

Bad bad memories.

The woman he was talking about obviously doesn't have a problem with it. So, why are you so worked up about it?

Isn't a right to define oneself a fundamental tenet of feminism. Hillary is a strong, accomplished, powerful woman who doesn't need strangers to tell her husband how he should describe her.

If you are so offended and think it's "sexism" for a husband to describe his affectionately describe his wife in her younger days as a girl, getting through a day must be sheer hell for you, given your hypersensitivity.
