Jul 2016

They "believe" him, they "trust" him...then they say they don't trust or believe him, and they boo him. So why are they there? What are they sticking around for? It's over. In the real world, it's going to be either Hillary or Trump. And if they can live with Trump picking Supreme Court justices, his hatred of women, his bigotry, his racism, his making fun of the disabled, his doing away with the Minimum Wage, then that's what they are going to have to live with. It's not complicated, it's that simple.

It was some his supporters, booing, heckling, waving signs and interrupting speakers, like Bernie himself, and someone like Rep. Elijah Cummings, to name a few. I'm glad that all Bernie supporters aren't like that, I appreciate their support, but for the ones that are, it's useless to try and reason with them. Hillary supporters didn't boo Bernie or anyone else. I'm sorry the Bernie or Bust crowd didn't get what they wanted, even though there were real changes made to the platform, but apparently that wasn't enough for them. Well, welcome to real Life, you don't always get what you want.

While he brought a lot to the campaign and I agreed with many of the issues he raised giving these crazies a megaphone was a negative side effect.

Tue Jul 26, 2016, 10:53 AM

I don't see any bashing Bernie.

There is a lot of bashing his supporters and some lets wait and see what he is going to do or say. I held my breath last night as his speech drug on but was pleased he did endorse Hillary in his prime time speech.

Can't say the same for many of the supporters/delegates that have been disruptive either here or at the convention.

Bernie lost the primary, supporters need to realize that and either get on board or get out. That is how it works, try again next time. I supported Hillary in 08, she lost, I decided that it was more important to have a Democrat in the White House than my feelings and went to work getting Obama elected even serving as a GOTV organizer.

There is too much at stake to let ones feelings get in the way of the betterment of the country, that is patriotism. You fight like hell for your candidate but you move on to make sure the election is won by Democrats and think about the next election for your candidate if they are not the winner this round.

But bashing Bernie, I don't think you are seeing what you think you are seeing.

Sanders has endorsed, and beautifully. He wants to focus on his movement and legacy and has decided that he will accomplish more if he works through the system. Dead-Enders are on their own now. There is no Bernie in that equation anymore, only Bust.

There should be ZERO confusion about who we are referring to. 90% of Sanders supporters I know IRW are loudly and vocally supporters Clinton already, even if they are not yet in love the way they were with Sanders. Many on this site, some that really surprise me (in a good way!), are there too. Let's celebrate those individuals, the MAJORITY of Sanders supporters and call that vocal minority what they are: Dead-Enders. Busted. Shark-Jumpers. Spoilers.
