Biden on being Clinton's VP: 'That's not my preferred route'

Joe Biden on Monday shot down the notion that he would considering being Hillary Clinton's running mate, saying, "That's not my preferred route."

"I have great respect for Hillary," Biden said during an interview on MSNBC. "I'm going to work like the devil for her, but I'm not looking to be vice president again, and no one has talked to me."

Biden, who was due to campaign with Clinton in Pennsylvania last week before the event was postponed after the Dallas shooting, did have some advice for those in the market for a VP, however.

"The most important thing from my experience being vice president is have a president pick someone they trust completely, they actually like and they know will have their back and can take over a big chunk of what they have to do because there's so much that falls on a president's desk these days," Biden said Monday on MSNBC. "It's hard to do it by yourself without being able to delegate some portion of it and not have to follow up. Just delegate.

He would be a very good choice in my opinion. Give her tons of credibility. Voters will feel more comfortable voting for her.
