Another day, another VP leak for Trump.

Yesterday, it was Flynn. Today, it is Mike Pence.

The Washington Times says it is 95% certain according to a few (unnamed) sources. Who knows? Of course, a few media oblige by publishing Pence's profile.

But Pence is running as governor and Flynn was publishing a book.

So, is it possible that the Trump campaign is selling rumors so that people can rise their profile in the media?

Or is it possible that Trump is vetting his candidates by throwing their names out and see what the media think?

Note: Today, Christie will be with Trump in VA (where Newt lives). Time for more speculation.

I have always found VP stakes hilarious (remember Ghepardt and Kaine, for example), but this year, it seems even worse (or better).

I can even imagine Trump announcing a name nobody has talked about yet. Who knows with him?

5. It's probable but not guaranteed. He could always announce at the convention.

At one point it was suggested that this was his plan. In the past it was quite common to do that.

4. Never mind. He'll nominate Michelle Bachman, no doubt.

I mean, she's a woman and he will want the "woman vote," right?

She'd be an ideal running mate for a campaign that is marked by irrational arguments, it seems to me.

6. Still think Pam Bondi is in it.

It looks like she may have to run to escape indictment for protecting Trump in Florida, and she has the Fox-bimbo routine down pat. Florida itself is shaping up to be among the worst of the electoral disasters Republicans are now facing, and putting her on the ticket would help that.

She's also far enough down the totem pole that she might prove to be a loyal Vice President instead of a dangerous plotting rival, as Gingrich or Cruz (or Romney, or Christie) would be.

Bondi is also considerably more competent than the "dangles" Trump has been casting this week, in an attempt to throw off the press before the convention. The smart play is to offer red herrings to the press so that the choice can be a surprise.

But then again, we have yet to see a smart play from Trump or the GOP this year, so who knows?
