(9,893 posts)Sidney Blumenthal, a close Clinton ally who was not working in the federal government.
Guccifer found e-mails between Blumenthal and Hillary relating to Libya and the Middle East.
It is alleged that some of the e-mails that Hillary sent to Blumenthal from her private server contained classified information.
Guccifer put some of those e-mails on his web page.
Guccifer claims that he hacked Clinton's server, but it is not clear whether he was bragging or had actually done so.

(60,212 posts)The rumor that the Republican Party has a tape of Michelle Obama railing against "whitey" in Rev. Jeremiah Wright's church apparently surfaced two weeks ago on No Quarter, a blog operated by Larry Johnson, a self-described former CIA analyst and supporter of Obama's Democratic presidential rival Hillary Clinton. No evidence has emerged to corroborate the wild rumor, but Fox News went ahead and aired the charges on camera today.

(58,785 posts)obsession with DU that had been taking over the entire site to save it. It is an extremely anti-Democrat site that still does have a busy forum devoted to sufferers of Hlllary Derangement Syndrome, though, a place where they embrace these right-wing lies as their own missions and vow that they shall never stop seeking justice. (I was surprised on a visit there to find some are eager for the day Chelsea takes up residence in prison too.)
In any case, the realities that Hillary's intent was to use a more secure server than State's, that she never broke the law, and that her actions were not unusual for people at her level is simply not comprehensible to these people. They've traveled too far down that rabbit hole to find their way out. Circular reasoning and conspiracy theories are normal, so that closing the investigation will merely be taken as proof of what they all know: that the entire government is corrupt and controlled by Clinton "lackeys." The effect of the final statement on these people will just be like adding water to a pan of boiling oil.

(58,785 posts)that they were "going to be" purged from DU and had to flee for freedom. But it's certainly true that many are known to have been banned and that many more claim to have been banned. It's seen as a badge of honor, and the proudest claim for many these days is that they had to leave or were purged because they refused to sign the "loyalty oath," known to the rest of us as the site's terms of service.
Seriously, psychologists say people become more extreme by hanging with extremists, and that groups prone to extremism become more extreme as they interact unfavorably with society (like backing a candidate who doesn't win). I believe that must be happening with some here, as we watch. I've recognized names over there of people who once posted statements here that I could agree with but now say and agree with things that are just...frankly bizarre and at no time would have been acceptable for DU.

(27,821 posts)JPR - Come for the poutrage, stay for the conspiracy theories!
JPR - Where the Indictment Fairy is still alive and well!
Read all about it:
Bernie actually won in a landslide - but HRC, DWS and the DNC stole the election via massive vote fraud!
Bernie WILL BE the next president - because H.A. Goodman said so!
Bernie isn't conceding because his "good friends" in the senate told him HRC will be indicted any day now!
Elizabeth Warren has been "faking it" as a progressive - she's been an Establishment shill all along!
If Bernie runs on the Green ticket, he will win the GE - in yet another landslide!
Bill met with Lynch to throw HRC to the wolves - because he can't stand the thought of her being POTUS!
United Nations to Investigate Clinton Election Fraud!!! (Well, people are signing a petition asking the UN to investigate - same dif, right?)
If you hate Democrats, you'll LOVE JPR!!! It's a site willing to name names when it comes to which Democrats have been thrown under the bus this week - and you don't have to sign a "loyalty oath" (otherwise known as a TOS) in order to join!
JPR - where you're finally free from censorship, as long as you acknowledge that Bernie WILL STILL win the nomination and go on to be POTUS! And if you mistakenly say otherwise, a helpful Admin will simply "edit" your post for you - no fuss, no muss!
JPR - it's the place to be!!!

You will have to point out where I chastised someone. Anyone. All I did was point out that there were two other forums started by DUers. One with a secret hidden room where they discuss DUers and have actually posted that they are alert stalking DUers they don't like and another site that was the most vile, filthy, racist, sexist, antisemitic site I have ever seen, a site that made Freepers look classy to be... chastising... I pointed no fingers at anyone. Myself I call it pointing out some kettles and pots, since some of the same people complaining about JPR in this thread post at the sites I mentioned.
