CNN: No evidence of wrongdoing/No DOJ charges expected for HRC

Yeah, the article's main topic isn't exactly flattering but this is key:

The FBI has not yet interviewed Clinton as part of its investigation. As CNN first reported, investigators have not found evidence to support criminal charges against Clinton and none are expected, but no final determination will be made until that interview has taken place.

"The CIA drone program is covert and considered classified, so while it is widely discussed in public and in media reports, any discussion of the program on a non-classified system is a violation of government rules. For this reason, the CIA insisted that the emails on the subject be retroactively classified."

This is what Hillary meant by "'over-classification run amok".

What I have actually been saying is the Intelligence Community IG and FBI Reports will find HRC's actions implicated several federal felony statutes under the Espionage Act, particularly 18 USC 793 (e) and (f).

However, the decision to convene a Grand Jury is up to the Attorney General, and I believe that she will slow walk this up until the end of the Term, just like Janet Reno did with Deutch. On Bill's last day, he pardoned Deutch for similar acts of hooking up CIA laptops to his home internet.

What I have been hoping for is the Party leaders are smart enough to do a deal with Hillary in exchange for a pardon, she will turn over her delegates to Warren. We will see.

I think it would be a crazy and unnecessary risk to the Party, from the top of the ticket down. They've had since March 2015 to put succession and contingency plans into effect for that outcome.

Obama's tepid endorsement doesn't mean they won't help her find the door at the optimal time.

Part of CNN story is itself copied and pasted from a much earlier series of CNN stories from months ago, before the SD IG report and before a lot of other revelations.

CNN and most news organizations have the habit of only updating the first few paragraphs as a story evolved, often leaving the bulk of the story unchanged over many weeks. This often leaves the current information in total contradiction with the bulk of the outdated article. The most egregious examples of this leave intact direct quotations from long ago as if they were freshly made. The CNN article is just a typical example of what passes for journalism these days. I wouldn't put much store in a months old paragraph in a sloppy bit of reporting, whatever one's own hopes or fears.

Maybe they will, maybe they won't, but they're not going to tip their hand while they're still investigating.

CNN has jammed two sentences together to make it look like the FBI's saying, "Yeah, we're going to talk to her, but there won't be any criminal charges." The first sentence is probably a fact. The second is the same unsourced rumor that CNN "reported" on several weeks ago, and it's spin.

Just having those on that non government server IS A CRIME.
And we already know she had them. There is no question for anyone with a brain. The only question is if the DoJ will actually indict her. I'm pretty sure the FBI will recommend it. That is their job.

And Powell used a commercial email account - probably on AOL. There is little doubt it's a bad idea - but given the choice of an email account on AOL, Yahoo, Google, etc. and a well run private server, I'm not sure which is the better of two bad ideas. Sec. Clinton herself admits in retrospect that it was a mistake. But was it criminal?

The FBI seems to think not.
