I think her arrogance and hubris is such that she felt personally insulted that she should have to bow down to such petty requirements.
ON EDIT: Yes, maybe there was some hubris, but actually now I am more inclined to think that it was that but -even more so- an excuse to go outside the system.
So... a combination of hubris, entitlement and shady secrecy.

He testified she did not know how to use a desktop or how to use any email on a desktop. Riiiight. And she wants to be POTUS? My 93 year old mother used both until her passing last year.

(11,785 posts)They went out their way to offer her an "approved" set-up--even going so far as to not require a password--and she still turned it down. Blows the "convenience" talking point right out of the water.
