(42,862 posts)They already know that Bernie won't be the nominee ... so there's absolutely NO reason to release them at this late date. They'll just keep ignoring the promises made and delaying. Then, after California, they'll decide that there's really "no reason to release them" since he's not going to be the nominee.

(25,512 posts)Which probably means that they didn't expect to still be in the race at this point, because everyone knows that releasing tax returns is a tradition in presidential contests. And certainly expected from a candidate who has made transparency a center point of his campaign.
Now, I think they're just stalling because they know the race is over. From their perspective, there's no point in releasing them now.

(30,481 posts)Why would they put her out there to answer for what she did to the college when they know Clinton has it wrapped up?
Taxes? I want Trumps. Bernie and Jane are quickly becoming yesterday's news.

(50,323 posts)I'm a Bernie supporter and since I can do first grade math I know he will not be the nominee unless something very dire happens to Hillary. The only thing you do by putting up posts such as this is alienate Bernie voters Hillary will require to win the general election.
Just sayin'.

(6,551 posts)If Jane were to continue lobbying for Bernie on the cable networks, she would have been asked about her tenure as president of the college, notably her $200,000 payoff after she was fired by the college's Board of Trustees.
Stuffing $200k in your pocket as you walk out the door when the college is financially crumbling due to your mismanagement?
That story isn't one that Jane wants to be asked about.
But it is the reason Jane can't find the time to release their tax returns. That $200k payoff is in those returns.

The VT papers are reporting that there appears to be an investigation underway.

(135,425 posts)Last I heard, she said Sanders would be back in DC on the 8th.
Asked during a brief interview this week at the Capitol when her husband would return to the Senate, Jane Sanders responded, After the 8th. But she quickly backtracked and said, I dont know. California and a host of other states are holding their contests on June 7. A Sanders campaign spokesman did not immediately return a request for comment to clarify Jane Sanders comments.

That's a rather interesting article--expect to see Sherrod Brown (and others) stuffed under the bus if the angry mob realizes he has suggested that Sanders wrap it up!

(9,980 posts)...there is something in there Bernie doesn't want us to see... I'm no fool. Doesn't matter, anyway as he appears to be a certain loser. Wise of Hillary not to harp on Bernie's taxes.
