2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumI'm seriously thinking about taking a day off here
on June 8. I haven't really decided yet, but I'm certainly thinking about it. That morning, the pledged delegate count is certain to show a majority of pledged delegates on Hillary Clinton's side. That will end the questioning altogether, but it may not end the anger and vituperation.
Maybe I'll look in that morning, to see what happens. But, I may decide to simply navigate elsewhere until the uproar dies down a bit.
I'm looking forward to a final answer to the question of who the nominee will be, but I'm not looking forward to the reaction. Not one bit. And not just on DU, but across the internet political venues.
We'll see.

(146,341 posts)There's a strong chance I'll be working on a promising new website content contract. That'll be great. Later in the month, my wife and I are flying out to California to spend a few days with my 9-year-old parents. I'm very much looking forward to that. They could use a visit right now.
Thanks for asking. That's very kind of you. I'll update everyone with my schedule as soon as I have it set.

I'm trying to be funny. Now, for real, have a good visit with them. I'm looking forward to the end of GDFightclub.

(146,341 posts)I'll try to be more attentive to letting you know what I have planned, then. I had no idea you were following me so closely. I've been remiss in providing information, I guess.
ETA: I do hope your breathlessness is merely due to anticipation, though, and that you haven't over-exerted yourself in some way.

(1,947 posts)It is comical though the large amount of words you use to say very little. If you want my opinion a day off wouldn't quite cut it, especially in the fact funk you have been in for some time. I'm sure the yellow propaganda business is a tough one, but maybe you do need a little time off to regroup and stop repeating yourself. You have my permission and sympathy you sought.
