Every ballot should be paper, preferably with Captcha! style authentication. No more computers.


I don't trust Diebold-voting machines as far as I can throw them.

And as far as counting goes, we can count with optical-scanners, but we need same-night auditing in every precinct to make sure the scanners are working. And we need several different people from different campaigns overseeing every step of the process. I don't care if the poll workers are up all night. I can wait until the next day for the official results if need be.

We spend over a year figuring out who to vote for. There is no need to find out the result in one hour.

a shortage of them, really. Contact your local voting authority (county clerk or auditor in most states) and ask how you can become a poll worker.

from Tuesday on the table being counted. In 2008 it took several days to finish the Merkley vs Smith count as it was very close.
