2016 Postmortem
Related: About this forumJust checked: the only available hotel rooms in Philadelphia for Convention week are $750
Everything else is locked up for Convention attendees by the host committee and probably has jacked up their rates.
Any idea where the thousands of people attending the mass demonstrations will be staying?

Don't just stay with Hampton Inn, but leave all chains selected, and sort by distance.
If you go to NJ, there's Mt. Laurel or Voorhees, which will require a car or cab. They are $79-114 a night.
But the PATCO will take you in, commutation about 45 mins each way. There is a Park&Ride on I-295 that's 25 mins away.

I used to go to marches in DC. Sometimes I'd stay with friends. Sometimes I'd take an all night chartered bus that returned at the bend of the day.
Guess you haven't done much of that or you'd know.

There still was no point to your comments about dissing where a fellow DUer is staying or to telling us how much the last resort you stayed at cost. Both were gratuitous comments.
And you don't have to tell any poster where a thread starts, ffs.
You don't have to lie about how much the last resort you stayed at cost because no one asked you. And you sure didn't have to tell a fellower DUer that the place he can afford to stay is, to you, like staying under a bridge. Claiming that is not rude is beyond clueless.
That's not very kind. Moreover, it isn't true.
Here it is the last resort I stayed at., in a premium beachfront room. Please feel free to private message me and I can send you pictures if you'd like.
