Related: About this forumPelosi Defends Sanders...again.
Every time the "drop out, Bernie!" calls reach a fever pitch, Nancy comes out to say, "not so fast".
Highly curious and highly interesting.
But Pelosi hailed Sanders for energizing young voters, arguing that his appeal will play to the advantage of all Democrats in November.
"Bernie Sanders is a positive force in the Democratic Party," Pelosi said during a press briefing in the Capitol.
"He has awakened in some people an interest in the political process that wasn't there. He has encouraged young people to channel their interest in public service and community leadership into a political place, because this is where decisions are made that'll affect their future and their lives. And I think that's positive...

Maybe she knows something about Clinton, or maybe she's just worried about her constituents and her own ass.
Time will, perhaps, tell.

(17,064 posts)A) She probably gets courtesy call updates on the general status of the FBI criminal investigation.
B) she's probably not too thrilled with DWS losing all the house seats, possibly recognizes the Clinton Victory Fund is taking resources from the state parties (which might be used to help Congressional candidates) and laundering it to go into the Clinton coffers in pursuit of her precious. On the other hand, Sanders brings a bunch of newly-registered Democrats to the polls, especially young people, that will create a big advantage for the Democratic Party for many years.

(25,505 posts)They understand the stakes in November.
They're also both very politically savvy. I think they understand that a united front shown after the nomination once all eyes are on November is more important than a short-term bump during the primaries.
Hasn't endorsed anyone either. Hmmmm

(1,446 posts)Particularly since those votes were not even close, she did what her constituents wanted. It may have been a political move, but she was representing those from her state (the whole state, not just The City)...which was her job. The Clinton Foundation lies you bring up have all been debunked, and in fact it has been shown to be one of the most efficient charitable foundations. I've seen all of that right wing propaganda about her, I stopped being interested a while ago.

And I think more of her than before, for resisting the Hillary bandwagon which takes some character.
