Even if Bernie won California, which is highly unlikely given its demographic make up, it won't be enough to enable him to catch up to the lead in earned delegates and popular votes Clinton has already accumulated, just as it wasn't enough for Clinton to overtake Obama in 2008.
That of course assumes the basic principle that votes actually matter, which I understand is not accepted by Bernie, who keeps insisting that corporate polls that show him doing better against Trump mean that superdelegates should nullify the results of popular elections and deliver the nomination to him against the will of the electorate. I feel confident that the Democratic Party will not support his efforts to seize power by extra-democratic means, that such contempt for the electoral rights of the majority will be met with the scorn it deserves.

(72 posts)And if that happens, depending upon polling and the FBI investigation, there is the potential for Bernie to win. Hypothetical, but I'm not ruling it out.
