Hillary "flip flopped", here is the answer. The coal miners supports their families from working in the coal mines, then place some of the manufacture of alternative energy sources in areas where coal mining is done. We can't stop coal mining immediately and retraining can begin now.

As Bernie said, We need to shift workers AWAY from fossil fuel industries and TOWARDS green energy. That WILL displace workers, but we can shift them to other jobs. Both Sanders and Clinton support those policies.
