Oh, shit! More NAFTA deals
http://trofire.com/2016/05/03/clinton-wins-plans-put-bill-work-hes-gotta-charge/
During a campaign event this week, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton capitalized on the nostalgic popularity of Bill Clinton when she told a room full of supporters that she plans to put Bill to work because he has so many good ideas.
Clinton was talking extensively about trade, an issue that she has gotten a fair amount of push-back on from opponent Bernie Sanders. While Sanders opposes the Trans-Pacific partnership and rails against NAFTA, Clinton has always supported these trade deals.
But just because you feel Clinton has bad judgement on trade doesnt mean that she cant put someone even worse behind that wheel. Clinton said that when it comes to trade, a President Hillary Clinton would call on the first husband to broker deals and be in charge.
I told my husband hes gotta come out of retirement and be in charge of this.
To many who are critical of Bill Clintons trade policy during his time as president in the 90s, saying Clinton would put her husband in charge of trade is akin to putting him in charge of the White House interns: Just a bad idea.

(4,451 posts)Hillary is a lot smarter than him actually. I love President Clinton and I am not so sure the trade deals were BAD. I have to take a second look. He is not the same man who was in the WH in the 90's tho!

(1,820 posts)....so at least the interns will be safe.
Just lost even more respect for Hillary - who would have thought it could happen....and yet it has.
President Clinton did so many damaging things - I don't think we need anymore help from him.

(1,820 posts)President Clinton did much to put progressive ideals in the gutter. He gutted Welfare, He voted for Nafta gutting the middle class, President Clinton disgraced the office by putting his penis where it did not below and then LYING on national TV. If he has any respect for the people who voted for him - including ME he would have simply told the truth - but the truth and President Clinton are not friends.
My personal opinion about President Clinton has NOTHING whatsoever to do with Bernie. IT IS MY PERSONAL opinion....
I would not vote for a women who ties her hopes and dreams to power and in the process puts up with such crap as a man who cheats on his wife and cares not a wit about his behavior.
If people don't like the truth that is not my problem....get used to this as it will be rehashed by many over the next six months.
Mrs. Clinton may have forgiven Mr. Clinton because he brought her power....but what he did to the country should not be forgiven or forgotten. You do realize had HE not lied the Republicans would have had nothing to go after him over....period. Lying never pays.

(1,820 posts)You don't like the way Jane handled her tenure at the university! She was not the President and this article is clearly one sided as I don't know all the circumstance behind he'd decisions. Bernie is NOT suggesting that Jane will co-president with him. aHillary is suggesting it. Mostly because she is pandering to those that adore Bill. Apparently Hillary does not feel she can win without evoking his name
Sad sad sad! Good effort though!

(3,133 posts)Or is she owned by others? Too bad you can't do anything with a candidate like that. Only ignore it. I will not. I heard her talk about Bill, and he needs to GO AWAY. He's got a foot on a banana peel anyway.
