Related: About this forumHashtag Drop Out Hillary Going Viral
As a loyal Bernie supporter, IMO, it is long overdue. The bullying by fellow progressives has been alarming. The court ruling today...that she may be compelled to answer questions ..adds fuel to the fire.
.
Every dang day HRC's News Networks has pushed, prodded, manipulated and more, with DNC's DWS right there screaming...for Bernie to quit.
Not so nice...now that the shoe fits Hillary's foot, with Twitter folks marching out the hashtag

(55,981 posts)have to ask that question. I do understand that blind loyalty is sooo much easier. You dont have to bother with knowing anything about her positions.
For one they agreed on invading Iraq. That's a big one. Tough Hillary wasn't so tough against Bush/Cheney. She not only didn't tell them to get fracked like she should have, she acquiesced and helped them, sell their lies.
Fracking oil company profits over water quality for the masses.
Job killing free trade agreements NAFTA, TPP, TPIP
Not allowing medical marijuana to those suffering. This one is really nasty.
Prisons For Profits with strong laws and long sentences
Killing SS. She pretends to like SS but will give it to Goldman-Sachs for a few pieces of gold.
The corruption of Big Money in government via Citizens United.
Unregulated domestic spying and no oversight for the NSA/CIA Security State.
Drone killing of terrorist "suspects" in foreign lands (100 innocents killed for each suspect)
American Exceptionalism as an excuse for neocon imperialism.

(15,805 posts)Generally when the 2nd place candidate has no mathematical possibility of snatching victory from the jaws of defeat, he gracefully withdraws. If he's going to hang around until they turn out the lights, then his goal is not overcoming the impossible odds and winning the nomination, but dragging down the front runner.
Forcing the leading Democratic Presidential canditdate to fight Trump and the GOP, plus counter the attacks from an angry and disgruntled sore loser from her own Party is really bad form.
rhett o rick
(55,981 posts)fight off Trump? Well Sanders is. So vote for the candidate that can defeat Trump without begging that your primary opponent quit.
procon
(15,805 posts)Maybe he wishes it were so, but he's not even on Trump's radar. If it's impossible for Bernie to win, then he's a spoiler, sucking up Hillary's time and money, and wasting resources that would be better utilized to take on Trump.
rhett o rick
(55,981 posts)she can't deal with Sanders and then Trump? Is that why the whining about getting Sanders to stand down?
If it is maybe you should switch to the candidate that isn't afraid of a primary challenge.
procon
(15,805 posts)That's just another cheap potshot at a woman. Here's the thing, I'd rather have the Democratic nominee concentrate all her efforts on defeating Trump. In a prize fight like this, instead of preparing to stand up against every dirty trick a nasty guy like Trump is going to throw at her, she also has to contend with a petty Bernie throwing spitballs and biting her ankles.

procon
(15,805 posts)Hillary didn't become a powerful international figure by being fearful. Some men see intelligent, assertive women like her as being "more of a man than most men" because they feel emasculated and impotent. They might compensate by attacking women as inferior to men, claiming to be victims themselves, much as you did here.
Donald Trump employs the same tactic in attacking women and when he's been called out, he tries to flip the sexism charges around to say Hillary is just pandering to women, just as you did. Where you have a "boo hoo hoo card", he has the womans card, birds of a feather, yeah?
rhett o rick
(55,981 posts)Hillary? why not fight until a winner is decided? Do you think that fighting Sanders will weaken her so she won't be able to defeat Trump. If so, she isn't the right candidate.

You all must not want us to support her if she wins primary. Well you really don't need us since she has Wall St. $ & the corrupt DNC on her side. BTW it has nothing to do with Hillary being a woman, though as a woman I question that. You sound like what the old establishment said about us hippies in the late 60's early 70's.

If you decide to sit out the g.e. in a huff because your 1st choice lost the primary, then your inaction will have to sit on your conscience as well.
