Thanks for that.

(4,486 posts)I'd be uncomfortable calling it at this point. She has a lead from early voting, but I would need to see a higher margin of victory in Indianapolis than what we have seen so far to be absolutely sure that city will off set counties that Sanders is winning.

It must really piss you guys off that Bernie Sanders supporters aren't demoralized, doesn't it?

What does that say about her campaign?

(2,145 posts)Stupid to call anything so early. And stupid to even go on air analyzing anything until at least 50% responsive. Simple stupid. BTW, Randi, I thought you left?

(1,473 posts)interest. Its nowhere near the 64% he needed from the remaining races. It doesnt change the math.
Its only going to mean more wailing and gnashing of teeth from the Bernie crowd come the inevitable loss come the Dem convention.

(9,688 posts)Can't talk issues, which is what the Dem primary is about (in total contrast to the Rep primary), so you'll be demanding that Sanders "drop out" because by staying in he only enables Trump, right?
You'll be saying that Sanders' platform is "Republican", right - because it criticizes Clinton?

(9,688 posts)The person I was responding to is a frequent contributor in support of one faction, which began the campaign with declarations that with 85% favorability ratings among D's it was a slam dunk and nobody else need apply. When an opponent did appear they went the low down route hiring David Brock among others, who being in charge of almost unlimited funds hired yet others. We're talking more money than both of us together could dream of. All told, in this first big election after citizens united I see that corporate money bought out all parts of the system available to be bought out. It's what I see, read and hear! The person I was responding to is a partisan for a corporate candidate. I haven't seen much uplifting conversation from that quarter. At forums like DU I've seen the invention of terms like "Berniebro", and a campaign targeting "Bernie supporters" as being all kind of racist misogynist evil, as based on "tweets" and other internet flotsam -> guilt by association.
I've seen some good debates on DU in this primary. E.g. a debate between 1SBM and Ken Burch still sticks in my memory. But there's been too little of that. It's a waste.
What I'm seeing now from supporters of the corporate candidate is arguments from "mathematics", saying in effect "fuck you, we've won, mathematically. So just fuck you. And Sanders should drop out for the good of the Democratic Party. He only helps Republicans, by being negative."
Do you see something different?"
