Bernie Sanders catching up to Hillary in California: pollBy Mary Kay Linge
New York Post
April 24, 2016
Hillary Clintons lead over rival Bernie Sanders in California has shrunk to two points, bringing to a screeching halt any momentum she hoped to gain from her 16-point win in New York.
The Fox poll out Friday night showed Sanders surging in the Golden State, where two earlier April polls had him 6 and 12 points behind.
Clinton has the support of 48 percent of those likely to vote in the states Democratic primary on June 7, the survey found, while 46 percent favor the Vermont senator.

If you don't know the difference between ISIS and Black Lives Matter I suggest you do some serious study on those organizations before flapping your jaw.

Clinton's numbers have been steadily slipping, while Bernie has been holding firm. If Hillary is chosen, Republicans only need a reasonably likable candidate to win the general election.
The country is ready for a real progressive like Bernie.

(21,328 posts)I don't see her losing any support. If she gains a few more points she wins the state outright.

(21,328 posts)She only needs to hold 40% there to keep Sanders at bay. I think she'll do that easily.

That's my guess.
I agree with you.
In fact, I'll take it a step farther.

(7,358 posts)shorten this circus. Just have primaries twice and then the election and then let's get this over with. I suppose the networks and advertisement establishment love this shit. They make mucho bucks off of it. Again I've answered my own question.

(15,139 posts)Over and over again members of the national Democratic establishment show up in Beverly Hills to attend fundraisers and in tv studios to appear on talk shows, but only rarely do they make any effort to connect with ordinary people. They take the support of the Democratic voters, most of whom are working people just trying to get by, for granted. Bernie has a message that resonates with people out here. College students know they are being screwed over with hign costs and big loans. The economic inequality Bernie speaks of is magnified here, where 1 million dollar homes are routinely torn down to make room for 5 and 10 million dollar homes, while millions struggle to pay the high rent in small apartments. Our sea life is threatened by oil spills and pollution. Our large cities, LA and San Diego in particular, have a serious lack of adequate mass transit. Our infrastructure is a mess. The plight of the homeless is largely ignored. The need to address immigration reform is urgent.
Bernie is the only candidate forcefully addressing the core quality of life issues that matter to Californians. He has our backs. We'll have his in June.

I know it's not all old fogies. I'm an old fogey and there are a lot of us here cheering on Bernie. But apparently we are a unique group.
