Clinton Campaign Says Sanders 'Rejected' New York Debate Dates -Stop Playing Games

Hillary Clinton's campaign said Saturday that rival Bernie Sanders has rejected three proposed debate dates ahead of the New York primary on April 19 — marking the latest dustup in an increasingly heated fight for the Democratic nomination.

But Clinton told NBC's "Meet The Press" that "I'm confident we will" have a debate.

"Our campaigns are trying to reach an agreement about that. We've offered dates and we've done it over the last several weeks, so we've been trying to figure out when we could do this. But there's a lot to talk about," Clinton told moderator Chuck Todd. "I'm confident that there will be," she said in the interview.

Clinton's campaign said in a statement Saturday that it offered April 4 as the first potential date, but the Sanders team wanted instead to schedule the debate after the Wisconsin primary on April 5. Clinton officials then suggested April 14 and April 15 as possibilities and are hopeful Sanders will come to accept one of these dates.

"The Sanders campaign needs to stop with the games," Clinton spokesman Brian Fallon wrote. "The Sanders campaign needs to stop using the New York primary as a playground for political games and negative attacks against Hillary Clinton. The voters of New York deserve better."

One was 'good morning america' debate. not a lot of viewers, Bernie said and many agree. Who will be able to watch that?

Another was a high profile NY game playoff.

The other was a hard to get permit the Sanders campaign already has paid a permit for, to do a rally.

So...what's wrong with Sunday April 17 before Tuesday, the most watched time???????

Me think someone else is playing games, and it's not Senator Sanders.

Do remember, it was also Hillary who wanted a New Hampshire debate the Sunday before the vote. The most effective. That was to help her, and Bernie was not afraid, and did not play games. Hillary has run the worst campaign ever! I know many of her supporters who blame the 'kids on the campaign'. I blame her.

"The Clinton campaign pushed for an April 4 date at Hofstra University sponsored by the local station NY 1, but Sanders aides mocked that proposal, saying it was the same date as an NCAA tournament game."
April 14 date or a debate on ABC’s Good Morning America on April 15.

Come on no sane person would think having a debate during times that are low viewership is a good idea. I mean Clinton is not afraid of more people watching it is she?

This behavior keeps backfiring on Hillary, yet she continues it over and over again. These are outright lies. Bernie has proposed numerous dates that Hillary turned down. Hillary is playing a game in the hopes that people won't notice and therefore level blame at Bernie.

I think the Bernie camp declined April 4 because it conflicts with the Final NCAA basketball tournament game (sort of like having a debate at the same time as NFL playoff game -- where have we seen that before?). He also suggested April 13, but Hillary wants April 14 because she knows Bernie has another commitment on that date (a scheduled rally). So damned transparent.
