A Sincere Invitation to Hillary and Her Supporters

And in the spirit with which Hillary extended her invitation to Bernie and HIS Supporters:

I hope someday you'll join us!

Imagine all the people, living life in peace

I CAN Imagine that, can't you?

You may say I'm a dreamer

Maybe, but they say if you can DREAM IT you can REALIZE IT ...

And I'm not the only one:

Bernie in Madison

I hope some day you'll join us .....

I really do ....

i think Bernie has a lot of excellent ideas, like single-payer and paid family leave. I just happen to disagree with his ways and means of achieving those objectives.

supporting one candidate or another.

We disagree though because I think Bernie's proposals are standard policies that worked in this country and others for decades.

But can I ask you this, do you think Hillary will push for Single Payer as we know Bernie will, and/or family leave?

I am sure that Bernie's plan isn't perfect, but that's why Presidents surround themselves with people who do understand the economics of getting policies like his into effect.

Eg, he has said he would like to have economists like Stiglitz in his cabinet. So I'm of the opinion that he will seek out the best minds he can to help him with any discrepancies in the economics of his proposals.

Anyhow, thank you for your civil response, it is much appreciated.

push for Singe Payer eg, when she has stated clearly that it will never happen. I myself was once blind to many things wrt to Democrats and remember being thoroughly shocked when I finally had to acknowledge that I was grossly misinformed.

It WAS a shock, it's not pleasant to learn that the party you trusted and defended fiercely for so long, is not what you thought it was.

But once I did learn, the transition from 'blind loyal supporter' to 'I will never again assume that 'my team' is all good and the other is all bad.

It was so freeing in the end because I realized how difficult a job it was to try to defend some of the things that could not be denied, like Glass Steagal eg. Or the Wellfare Reform Bill. I TRIED to believe that it 'wasn't their fault' but in the end the facts were impossible to deny

is right out of the republican campaign playbook. Hillary supporters would simply rather denying us all progress if it means Bernie winning.

obviously supports Single Payer support the candidate who has told them 'it will never happen'. Chelsea was used airc to push that talking point. I guess I'd like to think that Democrats at least don't fall for obvious talking points.

what is clearly a Democratic Principle. If our party has changed its platform we need to know.

And I can't imagine being so invested in a politician that you are willing to screw the entire population on his/her behalf. That would be a form of cultism imo.

Not multi-millionaires and billionaires, but pretty well off. They are very liberal on the social issues, the foreign policy issues and would even be ok with paying another 3-5% in income taxes.

But I can tell you right now from what they tell me that they will never support 70% tax rates or a candidate who proposes it.

and their deep hatred for the very name 'Clinton'?

They will have a much harder time tearing Bernie apart and would probably only GET support for him from people who didin't know him already.

I mean what are they going to use, he's a 'commie'? Lol, the call ALL democrats commie's. Obama is always referred to as a Socialist, so that one's been used up to the point of being meaningless.

HE will TEAR THEM apart. Notice how quiet the Repubs have been about Hillary's legal woes?

You can be sure they are salivating at the thought of using 'National Security, not fit to be CIC, risked the lives of etc etc'.

Even if she is cleared, they will claim it's because the DOJ is the Socialist Obama DOJ.

What a nightmare if she gets the nomination.
