Japan - A Story of Love and Hate BBC (English language)

I stumbled on this movie on youtube about modern life in Japan while looking for something. It popped up right after some videos about the tsunami in 2011.* It was made by an English speaking man who made friends with some people, mainly a young couple who were nice and fluent in English.

I'm not sure why he used the word hate in the title other than the old saying. The only reason might be that they indicated the young lady's parents did not like her boyfriend. There was nothing violent or hateful, it's more of a life and love movie.

It's a great picture of modern life in Japan. I enjoyed it and I hope that you will, too.

*I found this near a long, unedited two-part Japanese-made series about the tsunami in Japanese and a BBC documentary about the earthquake that made the tsunami. I thought it would be too painful to see this now so I am not planning to post it but if someone wants to see these details about how the thing happened and the Japanese film, I will send it in a PM.

Much of this, I knew about, with the exception of the poverty, which really made me sad. I cried though some of this..but in the end, it was lovely. Thanks for sharing this..
