Although they're all good, although Emerson's is pretty apt for some areas round here.

and I love his writings, and his wrestling with faith in the mid 19th century.

So I had to go with that one.

His home is open to the public as a museum place a few days a week if anyone is ever in Concord, MA, and there's Walden Pond and Thoreau stuff close by, if anyone gets up there.
