I just saw Ron Reagan's FFRF "Unabashed Atheist" commercial on CNN.

During the day.

And it's almost Easter.

I don't watch much TV and usually avoid CNN like the plague, but this seems like a pretty gutsy move for them.

Personally, I thought it was freaking outstanding but that's just me. I did the google and sure enough, found some hilarious poutrage. How DARE he dishonour his sainted father like that!!1?!

5. I'm still not clicking. It may read like a spoof but I've attended those revival meetings.

First they monger the fear then they pass the collection plate and then they sing about the lost chord (which is a real real thing, by the way). It's one of those things that exist beyond the boundaries of satire. Crowd mania (the holy ghost in motion, if you will) is really quite a spectacle and I think a rich mine for exploration of the human psyche, if we'd dare to go there.

If I were thinking of any edits, it would be the very beginning where he says "alarmed by intrusions" of religion. I love this ad, but I thought that part was too extreme....and his facial expressions are like he just ate a lemon. The hell part rocks.
