I am agnostic, but I feel particularly sympathetic toward members of the Muslim faith today.

As a result of the acts of violence perpetrated in Paris this week we have several dead victims and a great deal of hate speech being broadcast and published.

It's as if the violent acts of a few have given permission to for some to ascribe the underlying hatred to the entire Islamic world.

Western culture, like all cultures, are predisposed to feel superior to others, it's a form of ethnocentrism.

The weeks ahead will be filled with a lot of hate speech masquerading as righteous indigence.

Be strong.

Just as the terrorists who killed those in Paris on Wednesday did not act on behalf of Islam, the speakers of hate toward Islam speak only for themselves.

Peace.

Those bolstered to speak hate against Islam right now are the ones who do it in other ways all the time anyway.

Personally it isn't an issue.

It's an opportunity to express what is already in some peoples' hearts.

Thanks for the reply.

I notice people seem to be getting wiser to things now. I love how clear sighted Amy Goodman is with her coverage on the events. Today on Guns and Butter "Who Was Behind the Paris Attacks?" with Michel Chossudovsky was an interesting listen. You can download it and listen. Go to http://www.kpfa.org/guns-and-butter
