Frankly, an ill wind, regardless of the direction from which is blows, is still an ill wind.

A whiff of anti-Semitism emanates from the intersectional left, whose leaders appear disinclined to denounce (let alone dissociate from) the latest anti-Jewish diatribe by Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan, leaving some otherwise supportive Jews to question their allegiance.

A similar aroma arises from the boycott, divestment and sanctions movement when rhetoric opposing Israeli government policies veers into denigrating Jews who support Israel.

1. I take notice when some people reference Jewish people as white.

For instance, Sen. Sanders has been referenced as a white man. White is an identity, certainly. That said, I have the sense that the labeling of Jewish people as white is - at least sometimes - a negation of anti-Semitism.

3. That is something I noticed as well.

It is interesting in some progressive circles, especially ones claiming to be about diversity, when they are busy "shaming" white people, they also do the same with Jews. I saw one "progressive" group who does diversity videos out of the UK and they always go on about "whites and Jews", as if we are not one and the same, but conversely, also make us white only, so to speak. It is the oddest bullshit I have seen in all my years as a diversity trainer.

You are also correct that calling us white, which most Jews are, is way to negate anti-Semitism. It shows how fucked and pathetic some in the community of diversity have become.

2. When I see or hear the word "intersectional" now,

I wait for the antisemitism to start flowing from the speaker's mouth or writer's pen. It's a dead giveaway.

4. Yup!

It has become an excuse to justify anti-Semitism, and even other types of bigoted expressions, such as "bigotry of lowered expectations", which essentially is that certain groups are "not as responsible as majority groups" when it comes to their (the minority) own manifestations of bigotry against another minority group (sometimes, their own members). It is a form of "infantilization".
