(Jewish Group) How do you greet people for the High Holidays? Test your knowledge

The Jewish holidays come every year — and yet every year, I’m taken by surprise. Where will I go to synagogue? Do I need to buy tickets? Do I have a meal in a sukkah lined up?

I can’t help you with your personal logistical planning; clearly, I can barely handle my own. But maybe your unpreparedness comes in a different form: Maybe you don’t remember how you’re supposed to greet people for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

In that case, I’ve got you covered: You can test your memory on the quiz below, and brush up on greetings for the High Holidays whether you’re Jewish or just trying to be supportive of your Jewish friends.

And if you realize, after taking these quizzes, that you need to brush up on your knowledge before you head to shul or a holiday meal — or you’re just curious to know more — take a look at some of our guides to the holidays, below. Or try out our other quizzes, on general holiday trivia here and the Rosh Hashanah seder plate here.
