Related: About this forumEnrique Pena Nieto and Opus Dei..................
Heavily influenced and educated by the shadowy rightwing Catholic organization, he now sets out to do what, exactly?
Is it, as some suspect, to smoothly reintegrate the narcotraficantes with the government? Or will he as he claims continue the 'war on drugs.'?
It's all to be seen.
One rather unusual fact about Sr. Nieto is that he doesn't know quite for sure how many children he has. The courts and the three or more mothers will likely be willing to decide that for him. Opus Dei seems oddly unconcerned, in comparison to our rightwing religious organizations here in the Colossus of the North. Evidently he has honored the injunction to go forth and multiply rather casually.
Mexico, tan cerca del EEUU, tan lejos de dios.

(118,379 posts)so it is surely fair to accuse him of being an Opus Dei robot who hopes "to smoothly reintegrate the narcotraficantes with the government." And for the same reason, we certainly need to think about all the people who he's been making babies with over the years! But you somehow forgot to mention allegations that he's gay and belongs the Masons or the Illuminati!
Actually, your lede should be something like this:
How can gay Opus Dei stooge Enrique Peña Nieto, the most recent PRI thug to steal the Mexican Presidency, help the Masons and the Illuminati bring narcotraficantes back into the government, when he's lost track of how many illegitimate children he has?

(6,271 posts)We think our own media are difficult to navigate and sift for truth, but if anything the Mexican situation is worse. The wildest accusations stand unchallenged beside what I take for the truth, and only the fullness of time (one supposes) will reveal the truth.
Perhaps in the future I will post articles which recount the rejoicing of the rightwing press in our neighbor to the south. It depends on interest, of course, which is perhaps small in comparison with the interest in a Quixotic attempt to limit Christian dining privileges.
