POSTED 10:29 PM, NOVEMBER 30, 2017
BY CHRIS DAVIS

... “We do keep church and state separate from God. You see the doctrine we’ve been taught is that state is higher than the church," he said.

While Moore said the speech was something completely different, he touched on topics .. heard .. from the day he first held public office ...

They uniformly believe that everyone must be forced to believe as they do. And they are oblivious to any arguments that others believe as strongly as they do.

Which is why I so despise all organized religion. If they really were good at letting me believe something, and you believe something else, and Sandy over there and hi back at you Sandy, yet something else, I'd be okay. But in the end, ALL religions come down to: This is the Truth.

I'm not buying it.

I actually do have my own very strong set of beliefs, but I don't feel that the validity of those beliefs depends on anyone else believing the same way. I'll confess to being a bit puzzled that not everyone sees things the same way, but in the end I don't care. I wish everyone felt the same way.

Not all religious people are oblivious to argument. Not all religious people want to force everyone to believe.

Many Christians know that separation of church and state protects them as much as it protects the state. They want no mixing of the two!

First you say, "most." Then you say "uniformly." I'm not buying it.

Their attitude is that if the government gets at all involved in belief, it can decide what you should believe.

Most Christian churches I know of feel pretty much the same way.

up with Missouri Synod. Quite stifling.

Gotta admit they had great schools, though.
