I returned from my trip to the Falklands, South Georgia, and Antarctica on Nov. 15th.

Here are a couple of pictures.

I miss it terribly.

What was he cruise ship you were on?

We were invited over for beers on a vessel very much like that in the picture when I was at Palmer Station.

cruise ship as we made two landings a day with Zodiacs.

We tried to stop at a Argentine winter base in the South Orkney Islands but there was too much sea ice to get the ship in close. We were one of the first to travel down this year.

ship around at Ushuaia to go farther down with an Antarctica only trip
I would love to travel farther onto the continent, but must admit, at almost 70, I found it taxing my agility and courage getting through the transfer from ship to Zodiac, landings, and returns. Thank goodness there were some strong men in the crew to help me.
