It may be the defenses will get better at the back end of the season after adjusting to
rules limiting their aggressiveness..imho

1. People watch or go to games to see goals.

In baseball, the great Pitchers of the late 60's almost ruined the game with their no hitters.

2. NFL is a shell of the game it was...

Ask Clay Matthews how to legally sack a QB this year...

Football is a violent, inherently risky game and if the NFL thinks it can make it safe, they would be better off removing the helmets entirely and players would naturally lead with the padded shoulders instead of leading with their heads...but there would STILL be risk and concussions and maime bodies...

People who believe the protests had ANY influence AT ALL on ratings declines are just disingenuous.

3. I have been wondering...

With all this hand wringing about the "safety of the game," how, precisely, were these players forced to play the game? Where are the chains linking them together and preventing them from not suiting up to play football?

If the injuries are the fault of others, the team owners, the league owners, and so forth, then it must be that those others forced these players to do what they are doing, including forcing them to make hits with their helmets the way they are making hits. Nothing the players are doing, including being on the field in the first place, is done of the player's choice.

We are all victims of what others do to us.

4. I'm not much of a fan, but I recall games in the '70s when

final scores would be 7-0. A REALLY exciting game might have a 10-7 score. What little football I watch these days is far more interesting.
