I'm a 5 seed at 7-5

1. I've shockingly remained in 2nd place at 8-5

despite the fact that every single fucking time I bench someone, they end up having a monstrous game. After weeks of giving me nothing but single digits, I benched Eric Decker last week. Yeah -- 45 points. FORTY-FIVE!! When Nick Foles was injured and everyone said he was out, I cut him -- and he proceeded to throw 5 touchdowns a week later. And who did I pick up in his place? Geno Smith

Thankfully, Adrian Peterson, A.J. Green, Wes Welker, Eddie Lacy and Darren Sproles end up saving the day for me. And J.J. Watt -- he once earned me more points than 2 WR combined.

Injuries nearly did me in. I had Alshon Jeffery and Keenan Allen to limp me through.

He came through. As did Asianti (?), another last minute waiver pick up.

21. I completely overhauled my roster

I had a lot of bad matchups coming so...

grabbed Gerhart, dropped Gerhart, and grabbed Asiata and played Asiata (Yay!) over Andre Brown.

Grabbed Ellington (who I had most of the year but dropped when he got injured) and played him over CJ2K (Push)

Grabbed Cutler and started him over Romo (I knew he'd melt - his two late picks made Cutler the better play).

Dropped Robbie Gould for Graham Gano right before kickoff when I saw snow in Cleveland (Worked out great)

I had a monster output - currently 1 off top point total.

10. It's been a good year

getting into the playoffs. Only missed in one of my six leagues--two #1s, one #2, two #3s (including DU).

Missed in the last league because I made the genius moves of starting Riley Cooper over Eric Decker in week 13...and this week, starting Cam over Josh McCown. And these are guys I've played with for a decade, so you know the mockery is not exactly gentle...

One of the leagues is an ESPN standard league--I've never played there before--and has playoff games set up as two-week/total points contests. Kind of interesting in that it rewards building a consistent team and reduces the luck at the playoff level.

Finished in 3rd, which is shocking considering the guys I went up against have stellar rosters. Now just have to keep my fingers crossed that Adrian Peterson plays this week. I've already lost Wes Welker, losing AP would definitely mean I'm out.

AP is out! I checked on Gerhart and he's "questionable." I've put in a request for Colston, so I think he should cover Welker's absence, but I don't think there is anyone who can replace AP
