--- Super Bowl LVIII / Betting Spread ---

Favorite / Spread / Underdog (home team in CAPS)

San Francisco / 2 / KANSAS CITY

https://www.vegasinsider.com/nfl/odds/futures/

+2 has been the steady point spread for almost a week, though one book is giving +2.5. I'll go with the +2 for this thread.

------------------

Two points! Is Super Bowl LVIII decided by a field goal? Can the San Francisco defense correct their collective mistakes from the prior two playoff games? Does Superman Mahomes cement his title as the best QB in the league?

I'll take San Francisco to cover and win. Anyone else?

Total playoff record betting the spread: 9 wins, 3 losses.

4. I've seen both teams play a couple really bad games so this is going to be a good on IMO

Do both teams show up at their best or will one cave to the pressure?

6. I'd go with SF to win and cover

But I have to admit that being an almost life-long Niner fan makes me biased. Otherwise I'd probably give KC the edge based on SF's mediocre defensive efforts in the playoffs. KC seemed to be overall stronger during most of their games, whereas SF completely fell apart at the start and needed fourth quarter heroics to avoid being upset.

Should be one hellofa game. I think Brock quiets the doubters in this showcased game.

8. I think Andy Reid manages to bring the Chiefs

Not sure SF truly believes they will prevail. Not sure the Chief players won't be over confident, either. Purdy is capable of a big game, but this is his first Super Bowl - the biggest moment of all big moments. I did not expect Baltimore to fold up the way they did.

I think Chiefs win, but it will be within 2 - 3 points. SF won't stop creating new momentum and won't be easy to put away. I have never rooted against the 49ers. I won't be disappointed by a good game.
