Somebody's having a better Christmas than me.

Don't get me wrong, I still appreciate the shirts and socks from friends and the free hugs from my grandchildren. I pretty much have everything I need, but now I see what the better people wake up to on Xmas morning.

I was leaving physical therapy Thursday when I spotted this hauler full of vintage dream cars in the parking lot. This one in particular is a special hunk of Detroit iron.

The '82-'87 final generation El Camino was built on a truck chassis with Malibu bodywork and chrome bumpers. The SS version however, was custom redesigned by Choo Choo Customs in Chattanooga TN with a unique Monte Carlo nose.

There goes someone's tax cut:

Nobody lends money on a 30 year old car without real collateral. There's no Blue Book on it for the banks to refer for value.

Maybe it's going to a nice working class home. It's probably only worth a bit north of $10k, so it can be someone's dream car. Caminos never really appealed to the wealthy anyway.
