Best flashlight for working on cars?

I've a couple of mini lights but for close in work under a dark car hood, they are too bright.
The 60 watt light in my elect. trouble light is just about right..Sometimes though, for a quick
look at, say a carb, I'd like a hand-held flashlight..or mini or whatever they are called. Just not
super bright...

1. you can get an led that straps to your forehead cheap at any hardware store

it is awfully nice having 2 hands and the light is exactly where you are looking at all times.

60 watts in a trouble light is enough, but try one of these suckers.

2. The one with a hammer on the other end for tapping on stuff and...

a screwdriver on the other end for prying on stuff and
a stick of dynamite inside it for blowing that piece of crap to the moon.

3. LED is the way to go

I'm using a foldable LED flashlight with magnetic base. I got it from Walmart.

...and you get 2 so there's a backup. Use one while the other is charging.

5. The headset and these are good ideas..

Rechargeable and 5 brightness modes, like that...I have a headset...great for digging splinters out of my hand but not bright enough...The mag attach tools work great as long as you have metal in the right location...thx all!!
